In detail: This American wire cutters case is a rare variant manufactured in Great Britain. Made of strong web, this cover fulfills the same specifications as its sister produced in the United States. It is marked “BRITISH MADE 1944” on the reverse and comes from an old stock of the French army.

In detail: These surgical sponges are supplied by the American Red Cross. They are packed in a kraft paper whose volume differs according to the model of surgical compresses whose size varies. This set belonged to a lot discovered in France in 2017, stored in a garage since 1944. A paper label comes to specify the model, the denomination and the manufacturer.

Theme: Moment of rest for this US Officer
Time: Summer 1944, Normandy.
Details: This US officer, probably a first lieutenant sits on the bumper of a Ford GPW Jeep. He removes his complete suspenders and enjoyed a moment of rest between two fights to address a thought to his family. He still has in his hands his US M1carbine. He wears HBT pants, a pair of leggings, service shoes and a wool shirt for the officers recognizable by its extra shoulder pads.
